spiceworks 5.2 beta windows 7

I am running on Windows 7 and have installed Version 5.2 beta; while running the same on Win XP; I don’t have problem with authentication; but with the same values; I am unable to scan from Windows 7; is there something which I have overlooked.

Maybe DCOM/WMI issues? I can post more when I get to work, but there are lots of posts regarding wmi and such.

At your Win7 machine -

Things to check:

simple file share enabled (turn it off)
set local security police/GP : Network access: Allow anonymous SID/Name translation - INACTIVE
(#7 - Client, service, and program issues can occur if you change security settings and user rights assignments - Microsoft Support )
set local security police/GP : Network security: Lan Manager authentication level - 1 (#10 - Client, service, and program issues can occur if you change security settings and user rights assignments - Microsoft Support )
