Hey folks.

I was just looking at a related ticket that said “spiceworks 5 does all this and more!”

I run a consulting company with about 60 regular clients. I’d like to run spiceworks at each location and report to my central server.

Can I get a primer on how to set this up?

Thanks

Dave

Welcome to the community!! Spiceworks is not geared towards MSP but if you are looking for a HelpDesk it might be better to use the cloud helpdesk. If you are going to have your central server (local) and other servers then install remote collectors (see below). The only drawback of this procedure is that it will mean you have all data of all your clients in one server all together. So my best recommendation is the Cloud helpdesk

It might be good to setup if local your Spiceworks with a reverse SSL proxy.

Daniel beat me while I was typing. Darn.

So, this topic said there would be different portal pages for each client.

Is that still the case?

When you have remote collectors you can use each site as a different portal but they still go to your same helpdesk ticket system.

Thanks Daniel. I’m not using tickets for now, and I have Teamviewer to manage that if I need to.
