Hi all,

I would like to implement the Helpdesk module but have one security question.

Will there be any data from my helpdesk send/ recived to/from Spiceworkls or others?

Howdy Dave,

Steve is pointing you to the perfect resource. Spiceworks uses a centralized authentication service for all admin users so you will see traffic in that manner as admin users log in. We also get aggregate, anonymous data from the system on basic information for the environment such as how many devices are there that are scanned into the Inventory module. We don’t transmit any risky data such as network credentials or ticket descriptions or such though. That all stays locked down in the local database of your Spiceworks installation.
