Hi All,
I’ve just installed the above and created my account but cannot log in, just says “Bad email address or password”. I know its not the address and have reset the password twice, I’ve also tried all lower case as per one of the posts but still not letting me in, any ideas?

Hey Marcus,
Sorry to hear about the issues logging in! The email address/password it is referring to are you Community credentials. You can reset the password for that account on the following page:
https://accounts.spiceworks.com/users/reset_password_request
Hi Peter B,
I’ve reset my password 3 times now but I’ve found a thread on the proxy so I’ve added *.spiceworks.com to the proxy server, just waiting for replication
Will let you know
Thanks

That would have been my next guess!
Well I’ve added the rule to the proxy and I am still unable to log in! I’ve also tried to create an account and it just says “We’re sorry, but something went wrong” Any suggestions?
Thanks

What version of the app are you on? Try upgrading to the latest release (7.4.119, as of this writing) and let me know if that still gives you any trouble. If it does, I’ll send you some instructions to get your app logs over to us.
I think the version I’m using 1.3.114, that’s what it says in programs and features nut I cant find a way to get the version on the software. Is there a way to find it? Also can you send me the link for the 7.4.119? Thanks

Oh, sorry, that was the version of the Desktop app, not the Network Monitor which you are CLEARLY talking about
You should get on the latest version of the Network Monitor though. Our latest release has more bug fixes in it than any of our previous release. Check it out!

Hi Marcus. Although I probably can’t help much, I did have a question. The account that you are posting from now hasn’t been associated with the Network Monitor yet, so if that is the one you are trying to log in with, are there any special characters in the password that could be causing authentication problems?
When you reset your password, have you been resetting your password to the same password, or have you tried a different password?
If you do have a very complex password, long password, or password with strange or special characters or spaces, maybe try resetting to a simple password (just temporarily) to see if it will then allow you to login.
Any way to put it on a machine that bypasses (or temporarily bypass) the proxy for testing?
That’s all I have, back to you Peter.

Marcus,
You might need to enter proxy settings into the Network Monitor app. For that, browse to localhost:8080/wizard/proxy from the machine that has NM installed on it.
