Hey guys, I recently updated my Spiceworks Network Monitor to 1.2 and I cannot get past the loading screen. I’ve tried the old restart service, restart server, triple-check credentials but I’ve had no luck. I’d hate to reinstall and lose all my configurations, can anyone help me out? Thank you.

Hmm… Lets get a look at your logs and see what’s going on. Look for an email from support@spiceworks.com with instructions on getting those into us!

Thank you Matt, you should see the logs now.

I am having the same issue, restarted the service but yet to restart the server, any update on what the issue may be?

I have now restarted the server but it is still getting stuck when loading.

I have managed to fix this issue. An uninstall and reinstall did not work. I had to uninstall, delete the leftover Program Files folder and then reinstall.

Manually deleting program files entry worked for me to. Also tried restarting service/server, uninstalling and reinstalling. Upgraded from V1 to V1.2.

Great tip, Glen, that worked! Uninstall, delete folder, then reinstall. I had to re-add my server and edit settings, so if someone has many servers in the list, it would be nice to know which file has the settings to see if it can be copied back in.

Uninstalling and deleting the program files folder worked for me as well. Thank you very much

sadly - i had to uninstall, delete the prog files folder then install the new version too (went from v1.1 to v1.3).

hopefully the upgrade process gets a bit better

After getting out of the 1.1 version, you should have a bit better experience with future upgrades from 1.3 onward.

At least I have since they made some changes to the installers after the problems posted above.

I agree, having to delete all of the monitors really isn’t a very good solution overall to problems upgrading and starting the new updated version.

Do post back if you experience these issues in with future updates.

What V_S said. In 1.3, we’ve made significant changes to the installer and the migrations that occur. You shouldn’t have to nuke and re-install any longer at this point. But if you DO run into trouble, don’t hesitate to let us know!
