Hi guys, we’ve come into work this morning to find IE opening new tabs automatically for Spiceworks users.

Other websites aren’t doing this, just our Spiceworks portal.

We’ll be in the ‘My tickets’ area and after a few seconds, a new tab will open in IE.

The URL in the address bar is; javascript:void(0);
The error message is as below;

Has anyone else experienced this strange issue?

Sorry for the duplicate.

Definitely looks like some issue with an ad server and IE.

Yes, it does appear that you’re having a similar symptom and we do have a support ticket open on this issue. But no need to apologize for the duplicate. We’d rather know that not know, so we appreciate the heads-up.

We are getting this as well. I’m assuming a solution hasn’t been found yet?

Sorry I didn’t see your post. This was corrected on the ad-server side on Friday afternoon. If you’re still having the issue, please stop and restart the Spiceworks service.
