I got this error creating a new reply

and now, I can’t respond to the thread at all, I just get Error 403 instead…this has been happening more frequently, first starting for me last week.

May have been a post I recently deleted. If you have the URL or the title or something we can check further, but just with the error, there isn’t a lot I can do.

I know I get this error when I have multiple tabs open and attempt to reply in the different tabs. I don’t recall if it happens on different threads or just the same thread.

And what happens when you use the reload button? Is that when you get the 403 or does it happen at another time?

Oh, yeah… that could be it. Discourse (the new platform that the community is on) rate limits you. Happens to me sometimes if I open up a lot of tabs all at once.

Oddly enough, it was the last tab in a batch open, so at that time it happened, it was solo. It most often happens when I attempt to edit a post, however. That’s why you see so many duplicate posts by me, instead of editing. Sometimes, edit works, most often, it won’t.

Don’t ever open the same thread in different tabs. That will glitch you out. Maybe slow down a bit and try again… better than posting twice.

OH no, it’s not the same thread in multiple tabs…that wouldn’t be necessary…it’s different conversations I’m watching (like snap, spark, wrong answers, for example). And it’s not often I have multiple threads open when this error occurs.
