We narrowed Brett’s issue down to Trend Micro OfficeScan blocking the update process and he is working now.
Thanks for getting in touch so we could get this fixed!

The new Dell warranty feature is outstanding!
ummmmmmm i just downloaded that and its saying that my SW versions is 4.7.50667. did you guys upload the wrong version?
I installed the 4.7 release this morning and it went to version 4.7.50667. I download the update and installed it and it said the same version. in the properties of the new installer it is saying that is 4.7.50667. it is saying that on the bottom of the page and the popup thing in the bottom left
we don’t use any proxy’s where i work.
Hm, that is strange. I’m having the folks here check the download to make sure it is the correct version. Were you on 4.7.50667 already before you downloaded this latest update? Where are you getting the version number from? Is it the toolbar, or somewhere else?

It sounds like the download is caching for some reason, and pulling the older version. We’ve confirmed here that the correct build is uploaded, but it seems that you are still getting the old version. I’m finding out what needs to be done to correct this - stay tuned.

Do you happen to be using ISA Server 2006 as a caching firewall?

you may want to pull the link off the page to stop other people downloading the old version.

The posted version is correct. The md5sum is 8ae00c37bab083e90220803f4c9a9fb8 which checks out.
I think you are caching the download.

I used IE and it has downloaded the new version 804 fine. i just tried again with firefox and it downloaded 667 again… that’s disturbing.

That is the md5sum for the current (correct) version 4.7.50804.0. This smells strongly of a cache between you and our download servers.

GRRRRRRRR i just had a look around on some auzzy forums and Telstra (Australia’s ISP monopoly) does caching for its clients. I think that is where the problem is.
