A number of devices that succeeded SSH scans in the past suddenly failed them, and duplicate records were added for those devices. After I corrected the scan error in the bogus record, it passed the test and fixed 2 of the records and rescanned them, but I still have the duplicate bogus records.

This was also a problem in prior releases. For some reason SSH authentication fails and Spiceworks creates duplicates which I am continually having to go back and clean up. This means my inventory reports are always going to be inaccurate.

Let me know if there is any data I can send you.

I don’t have an answer.

I have seen something similar. The problem was DHCP. We lost power and when the system came back up, a number of devices ended up with new IPS.

There is also issues with MS DNS. My scan shows a number of reverse DNS errors.

That would seem reasonable, except the bad scans were the same IP addresses as the good scans.
