I would like to get my wildcard cert to work in Openfire so I can use new versions of Spark without having to have end users modify settings in Spark.

If I try to upload my certs, I get

There was an error while trying to import the private key and signed certificate. Internal server error: The supplied certificate chain does not cover the domain of this XMPP service.

I’ve found sites that mention changing the name of the server or attempting to use the keystore program to go around this, but I’m wondering if there’s an easier way?

Check this:

The first link must be for an older version as the directions don’t match up.

Trying to work through the second.

No go on second…had to restore from backup
