Is there a list of compatible M.2 SATA SSD storage modules for SonicWall TZ devices? Innodisk M.2 (S42) storage modules are originally installed. Or other manufacturers too? Can any other SSD in the M.2 SATA standard be installed?

Supported Storage Modules on SonicWall Firewalls running SonicOS/X 7 and above | SonicWall

I meant SSD manufacturers (companies like Samsung, Transcend, Toshiba, Kingston, etc.)
Can I use only SSDs like in the link?:

Other M.2 SATA SSDs are much cheaper.

I expect all will work, but the link I supplied I think is the vendors recommended.

I know that long-life professional (industrial) modules with SLC or MLC Flash memories should be used.
They have a longer MTBF and a larger operating temperature range.
But is it worth it? - the price is several times higher than standard ones.

Because they last several times longer.

You either buy cheaper modules now and replace them every X years or buy the more expensive ones and replace them every Y years.

The choice is yours, it’s going to come down to how long you plan to keep the firewall and how many writes the media will do.

If you plan on replacing this device in the next 3 years, then it shouldn’t matter, if you plan and/or hope to run with this firewall for the next 10 years, don’t cheap out on the main component.

It might look better to save money, but if you have to replace the drive 5 times in the next 10 years, is it really cheaper than paying double now and knowing it will last.

Everything you wrote is true. But I don’t think professional modules will work 5 times longer. Two maybe three times longer. The most important issue is the frequency of Flash writes.
I believe that standard modules should operate without failure for at least 10 years. Modern SSDs are usually durable.
MTBF for TZ370 is 51 years (27 years for TZ370W) and for Industrial SSD (Innodisk) 3 million hours. For standard SSD MTBF is 1-1.5 million hours.
1 million hours = 114 years!!!
It should work for ages

I posted examples, if you are happy there wont be an issue, best of luck.

But why do you need a larger storage for the firewall ?? Why are you not getting sonicwall support and recommendations ?

Then are you really focusing on the price difference between DIY vs Vendor pricing OVER the whole cost of solution ?
