Here are my suggestions as a first impression.

  1. Pull servers from AD

  2. Monitor Printers Maybe?

  3. Ping only monitors. (Non windows/non unix controllers)

Other than these 3, I am liking the beta so far!

It uses SNMP on the network devices so you can monitor printers now if you setup SNMP on them.

I didn’t think about that since the group is labeled switches. Thank you I will try.

Edit: Sadly it will not monitor Toner level within that. :frowning:

The Network Monitoring program is pretty cool for the Beta release. Definitely awesome for being a free program! A couple things I would like to see added:

  • Ability to change monitoring threshold for individual servers/devices. Not just disable or enable alerts.

  • Trending capability. Ability to see what the server/device has been doing for the last month/week/8 hours.

  • Options to change the default I/O calculations from Kb/s to Mb/s or Gb/s?

All in all, the product works very well!

So… Should I offer my suggestions there or keep them to myself?

Let me reach out to the guys.

Thanks!

Feel free to offer them as you think of them in this beta group and the new one we will open up in the next couple of weeks James. We always appreciate feedback. The app is in it’s infancy so there is still much to be done in the future.

Nice app!

For monitoring printers, routers, camera’s, voip … It would be interesting if we coud create some extra groups instead of the 2 predefined groups (servers, switches).

Also support for multiple customers should be nice. Maybe an interesting option in a future release?
