Not sure who runs the account but I wanted to give a bit of feedback on it quick.
I have notifications turned on for Spiceworks on Twitter. It’s one of the handful of accounts I have them turned on for. So I get every single tweet… yet, I swipe away about 99% of them. Obviously given the platform, I have to expect that a lot of the content will be what is essentially just a white paper type tweet redirecting to something else.
It would be nice, though, to see more life to the account and more variance in activity and content. You have featured random community posts in the past but I’d like to see more of that. I understand with vendor relationships that obviously trying to direct more traffic their way is a necessity, but it’d be cool to see you guys actually interact with those vendors on Twitter as well. Most, if not all, of these vendors have Twitter accounts too.
It’d also be nice to see you start participating in other discussions regarding tech on the platform. If Microsoft, LTT, Apple, SwiftonSecurity, etc… post something worthwhile, it’d be nice to see the SW account chime in. Also - it’s Twitter… post tech memes.
tl:dr - I have the account notifications on for SW but I can’t bring myself to retweet or like a majority of the content because it’s so dry and copy/paste-ish. So it’d be nice to see that account branch out a bit more.
That said, it is definitely a welcome change to see that account being used much more in the last year.

My .02.
I am obviously biased as I see most things through the lens of community, but I’m a fan of using social media more as an engagement channel than as a megaphone or bullhorn. Not that you can’t do the latter, but it should just be part of the mix. It should be used for bi-directional conversations that foster real connections between everyone that is a part of it. For me, it’s really just another tool for community engagement that, when used appropriately, can be really powerful for both the brand and the members.

I agree @sean-dahlberg . Social Media is a powerful tool that works both ways, for the brand and for the members and 100% yes on this being the another great channel to build engagement.
Having said that @dimforest , I will get the feedback shared on what more can be added on Twitter and also would like to highlight to you that we regularly share tech news, conduct weekly polls, and share insightful articles to keep the community informed and engaged. We also want to let you know that we share tech memes every Friday to bring a lighthearted and relatable element to our social media presence.
Lastly, we value your support and encourage you to actively engage with our polls, articles, and more. Keep the feedback coming—we appreciate it!
