Hello all!

I’m trying to get a dev into out TFS server on the Azure DevOps Connection, on Visual Studio. He is actively getting "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it (Server IP). This TFS Server is through IIS, and I have granted him the necessary permissions to connect to the website. He can get to all of the files there, but can’t open it in VS Code. I’ve been looking at firewall rules and extensions, but the other Developers who connect to the server do not show anything regarding that on their local machines. The Firewall also shows nothing pointing to TFS. Is this something else I should be looking for?

All information is greatly appreciated,

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

What do the logs say on the TFS server or the admin console?

This error is saying that the endpoint (TFS server) is refusing a connection from the client (the workstation). There might be some kind of ACL, permissions file, or something like that causing the issue. The user seems to have the access to view files, but the computer cannot establish a connection to the remote server via whatever protocol you’re using. I’m not familiar with TFS or VS Code but hopefully this helps narrow down the search.

{"@type":"Person
c-t
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/c-t"}},{"@type":"Answer

I figured out the problem this morning! It was unrelated to anything TFS. It was with the Web Server Certificate! Don’t forget to install your server certificates if you need them…

{"@type":"Person
nvsupporttech
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/nvsupporttech"}},{"@type":"Answer
