We have one Unifi AP in a classroom that services iPads, last week it stopped working. Whenever it is power cycled, the network SSID from it is visible for about 1 minute then disappears, the green status light on in then flashes every now and then.

The controller seem to of crashed after upgrading. So we deleted it and re-installed the controller software, setup a new network, I held in the reset button to scan for the AP and we found it.

When we try to adopt the AP the adoption fails. Could this be the AP is on 192.168.1.20 and our IP scheme is 172.16.4.x?

Do I need to manually adjust the IP address, as I thought if the AP is set to automatic DHCP then it would automatically pick up our IP scheme?

{"@type":"Person
{"@type":"Answer

flashing green means the AP is disconnected and can’t access the gateway on the network.

What are the different LED state

UAP/UAP LR/UAP Outdoor:
Blinking Amber/Orange - initializing
Steady Amber/Orange - factory defaults
Steady Green - adopted
Steady green with occasional flashing (once every 3 or 4 seconds) - isolated (This means that AP cannot reach to the gateway. Starting from v2.3.x, uplink monitor can be disabled under “Settings” > “System” > uncheck “Uplink Connectivity Monitor”).

192.168.1.20 is the address it defaults to if it can’t get an address via DHCP. are you sure the AP is connected to your network correctly?

If you connect a laptop to the line the AP is using (with POE removed) does the line work?

{"@type":"Person
[{"@type":"Answer

Hmmmm, interesting issue. I can tell you the green light flashing is not right. Generally it is solid green.

I know we had one of our AP’s get weird, and did the reset thing successfully and our network is not 192.168.x.x.

What version of the controller are you using?

Also, I moved this over to the wireless forum.

{"@type":"Person
derek-a
https://community.spiceworks.com/u/derek-a"}},{"@type":"Answer
