I am having kind of a problem with my inventory. I was having a lot of issues with my device inventory, which I could not get fixed for the life of me, so I decided to start from scratch again.
So, now it ran the first scan, and now the issue I am having is that it will not inventory or recognize my new servers as well as a number of new computers, which it had no issue with before. The oddity about it, is that we recently went through a hardware refresh, so all of our computers are exactly the same across the board, and since some are recognized and others aren’t, it just is puzzling to me. Its not a matter of credentials, so I tried even following all of the commands spiceworks gives as well as manually make sure firewall settings, etc. are correct, which they are.
So if someone could help me out with that I would appreciate it.

I know you said that they were added last time without a problem, but have you gone out and tried to add a computer manually via the spiceworks fix/todo list ?
What type of errors are you getting? Are they classified in the logon errors ect. Or are they classified under “These devices couldn’t be inventoried” ?

I am mainly getting a no ssh account specified, but I don’t use ssh with these devices. On the ones that I can select i change to either wmi of http (for my networking devices) enter the correct credentials and it says it connected and is rescanning then after a little bit goes back to the same page asking what type of device it is.
Do you know how I can force spiceworks not to use ssh for these devices? I even tried creating another ip rages just for these devices, but that didn’t work either.

Ok So I just realized that I could tell spiceworks how to connect if a device failed, didnt realize that.
So I tell it what to use to connect, then it says successful and rescanning, but after awhile it just goes back to saying there was an authentication error because there is no ssh account… I don’t get it why does it want an ssh account if i tell it to connect using http, and it can connect using that???
