How can software that, is not installed, be removed from inventory?

It is not Microsoft software but AVG.

Nothing in the registry.

Just would like to find where it’s coming from or how to remove.

You should be able to see what machines it is installed on.

You may need to turn off incremental scanning in options and then rescan that device.

I can see where it is listed as installed. Checking reveals that it is not installed.

Rescanning has no effect and it remains listed on the machines inventory.

You tried turning off incremental scanning and setting it to slow?

It may be a registry key that it is picking up on. What program are we talking about exactly?

AVG, and I searched the registry in a couple of the computers and removed any reference to AVG.

Still shos up.
