I have installed Unitrends Free Version and am having trouble logging into the web interface. I have restarted the VM and gone through resetting the passwords, permissions, and owners as directed by the KB articles. I am still unable to log in and see if this solution will work for us. Any hints, tips, or tricks would be appreciated.

Jeff - Hey! I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues logging in. Have you explored the UnitrendsFree Support Community yet? I ask because the majority of the existing articles in our Knowledge Base are for Unitrends Enterprise Backup, which uses a different interface, so the directions should be a bit different for UnitrendsFree users, and the UnitrendsFree Community is the support destination for all things UnitrendsFree.

I haven’t yet. I’ll do that. I have logged in before this to start setting things up. I tried again today and no matter what I tried…I couldn’t log in. I’ll keep you posted on any results.

I got it resolved. Apparently the password reset didn’t work from the console on the VM…although it said it worked. After resetting it from a command line using Putty it worked.
Now to get my machines set up for backup. Thanks a bunch.
