Hi all<\/p>\n
A few weeks ago I had a major issue with my Domain Controller and long story short I had to build it from scratch and create all the users (etc) from scratch. I have been able to go back into most of my applications and systems and reset the permissions to point to the new DC except fro spice works. While I have been able to go into spiceworks settings and update the AD settings and that worked fine for some reason the users are not able to log into the Helpdesk portal using their AD credentials.<\/p>\n
I have even gone intot helpdesk settings > advance and toggled the option for Portal Auth from AD to local and back but with no luck. (hoping to reset it)<\/p>\n
I have tried various combinations of logins from DOMAIN\\username username@emailaddress and username only.<\/p>\n
Have anyone come across this ? All users in your AD need to have email addresses associated with their accounts. Thanks ! looks like that was the ‘gap’ when I rebuild the AD and recreated the users, I totally forgot the fact that my exchange box is now int eh cloud and not integrated to my AD ! so unlike before that association is no longer there. !<\/p>\n
Many thanks - now to go an correct all the accounts manually - thats the day gone !<\/p>\n
