Hai Everyone,

We were Planning to have a Video Wall to Display LIVE Football Match. But the Management Found the Price to be Very High for the Screens. Is there any other Alternative for the Video Wall.

For eg: I Connect 4 Displays for a Windows 10 PC and then Play the Video. But Will it show as a Single Video through All The Screens.

Please I Need the Advice from you all.

Thank you

If you’re wanting to go down the route of 4 screens with the video stretched across them, firstly bear in mind the bezel on the monitors will be blocking some of the image, unless you get some higher priced, thin bezeled screens, and by that point you could probably find one large screen for a cheaper price.

If you go down the multi screen route, the settings to spread a video or image (i.e. a video game) across multiple displays like you say will be in the GPU settings ( nVidia Surround or AMD Eyefinity , depending on what graphics card you have), and the GPU will need as many ports as you have monitors.

Honestly, depending on how big a screen you need I’d reason for getting one large screen over this method, as the combined cost of the monitors, and a GPU that can output to them (provided you don’t already have them) will be pretty hefty

If it’s just a single game, why not a good Projector? There are pro’s and cons about them in my opinion, but easiest and cheapest rather than linking a bunch of huge monitors, having to drive them with a video card etc. I’m sure someone out there has more experience using Projectors than I, maybe they can chime in.

I’d probably go the projector route, but if it’s a bright room you tend to need a higher output projector ($$$)

You could use a projector.

I went through the same thing with management. Don’t try to implement some second hand solution because it will blow in your face. There are a lot of issues to consider when looking for a solution for a video-wall. Size, location( indoor or outdoor), ambient light during the whole day, desired resolution, distance of viewing, other features like PIP or split screen etc. You need a professional solution with support.

If is too expensive that means that they cannot afford it and should move on.

Option 3, re locate to a pub with Sky Sports, limit staff members to 1 free pint to keep costs down, watch match, problem solved.

Mega spice to this - If they really want to watch the sportsball they have to factor in the cost and do it right. I’d be half inclined to ask why they think something like this is a justified business expense over endpoint security as you mentioned in another thread but thats another issue entirely

They’re based in Saudi Arabia, so I reckon the 1 free pint wouldn’t carry much weight :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

To fill a wall, a projector will probably be your best bet in terms of cost, unless the room has to be well-lit.

Hi there, I’ve used DisplayFusion for multi monitor displays. It may be worth a look to see if the software will allow for a video wall. I read through a post on their support site that mentioned a video wall was possible “in theory”.

The paid version of this software is reasonably priced if it does what your company needs.

As mentioned above, a projector may be a better option in your case. Easy connectivity and much less assembly. If you do end up going with a projector, we’ve got a distance calculating tool that would be of use to you, as well as a wide variety of projectors that would do the job : )

A 65" roku smart TV is less than $500.00 USD. They are smart and have PC, HDMI, and USB. They are wifi enabled and you can cable them as well. Not too mention all the available apps!!
