hi any help will be much appreciated.

over night my wds service has stopped and it want restart. so i reboot the ser ver now the wds servise is running. but now the clents arent connecting to the pxe boot server.

curse is just circling next to DHCP.

please advise.

whn i logged in to my the server i saw this cmd i have attached, and i cant remeber running any dism commands.

If you plug a laptop into that same port with Windows on it - does it get a DHCP address?

Is your wds server a VM?
Does your wds server have a static address?
Have you changed the network card settings of the server or in the hyper visor in any way?
If you can recall Is the IP address of the wds server the same as it was before the incident?

Have you an ip helper rule pointing at the IP address of your wds server? How my wds server is setup as I experienced similar symptoms when I first built it

In addition I had an incident with a VM where somehow another nic was added (never got to the bottom of it but suspect technician error) therefore obtaining another ip address via dhcp.

My angle is Combine the two together and you have a problem which matches the symptoms you are experiencing

Have you looked at event viewer to check the logs? Assuming if there was a fairly significant event that it would show up in the logs, even perhaps a build up of events that would lead you down the right path.

sorry guys it was very simple at the end. wds prpoertise port 67 was selected. clear the tick box every thing is back to normal. dont know ho it happend
