It’s a big day here at Spiceworks, as we’re formally relaunching our Voice of IT reader survey series. Want to know what your colleagues in the IT around the world think about the software, hardware, and services they’re using? That’s precisely what we’re here to uncover.

We’re kicking things off in our relaunch by asking about Corporate Password Management Solutions. You can dive into it here!

Our goal with these surveys is to equip you, your colleagues, and dare we say it, the industry-at-large with real data from real people working in IT. Once we get enough responses, we’ll go in-depth on each topic to inform you and the larger IT community with real insights to support your tech decision making.

The more responses we get, the better our results, so it helps everyone if you pass the link around to your colleagues working in IT.

You can expect to see a new survey every month. You can likely guess some of the topics we’ll get into, but we’ll also have a few surprises that go beyond the expected categories. We also welcome suggestions!

If there’s a topic you’d like us to get data on, if you see anything amiss in an active survey, or you simply want to let us know what you think, get in touch here or ping me directly through my profile.

I’ll be watching the returns come in on the survey in the meantime, so get in there and let us know what you think.

And are there any rewards attached to submitting? Because, you know,

Will trade company secrets. I’m hoping to acquire my conspiracy badge next.

Darn, we don’t have a conspiracy badge yet, but that sounds like a good one.

Corporate espionage? Or the “I’ve done time for white collar crime” badge? I think you can earn that one multiple times.

Perhaps our next poll needs to be on IT Ethics.

If I wasn’t so humble, I’d point out that I may just be what some call “the paragon of ethics, IT and otherwise”. So, you could probably do something like:
“On a scale from 1-10, with one being ‘I steal all the vowels off of laptop keyboards as a pastime’ and 10 being ‘I strive to emulate David’s unblemished ethical record in all my interactions’, how would you rate your IT ethics?”

However, because I am so humble (in addition to being intelligent, charming, charismatic, stoic, and kind) I won’t point that out. Sorry, Suzanne. You’re gonna have to figure this out another way.

Hey, thanks for the kind thoughts, even though you can’t give me any non-humble advice. I’m always amazed by your shining example.

Bring back the Pepper Points!

Done and waiting for the future article for the data to appear in.

Sounds like a cover-up if I’ve ever heard one! (And why does @Sean-Spiceworks profile show he’s earned the birthday badges over 7,000 times? Just another conspiracy theory? I think not.)

Completed… where are my meaningless internet points and random badges??^^

No Tethics references?

I actually own and often wear that shirt. I almost wore it one year to SpiceWorld…

The one sent out today is the same one. (We’re just trying to get more respondents.) So, if you took the one advertised in this post already, that’s an expected message. Sorry about the confusion.
