Just had an odd turn of events. I have a workstation with a BT scanner attached to it that has always been flaky. Doesn’t want to connect right away, doesn’t want to stay connected, basically is a hassle. So, I had another workstation in that area die today, so I was swapping around some hardware and grabbed the workstation with the flaky scanner and moved it to another location - with another BT scanner. Same model, but for whatever reason, this scanner connected right up and is working great. So once I get that done, I go reimage a workstation and install it where the first one died - same make, model, form factor, image, etc - well the flaky BT scanner hooks right up and works like a charm.
The world may never know…

Guess they just couldn’t get along.
There are many mysterious levels for being able to repair IT systems.
Level of touch - once you begin to type on the keyboard, the problem goes away…
Level of presence - once you walk into the room the problem cannot be duplicated…
Level of voice - once you have the customer on the phone, they cannot duplicate it…
And the ultimate level is Level of thought - once you think about the problem, it disappears…
Enjoy the mysteries…

It’s my personal opinion that anything with BT is possessed by the devil and only works when you don’t expect it to.

That’s a fact. I can’t imagine trying to be an IT guy if some measurable percentage of computer problems didn’t disappear when I arrive.
