Welcome back, everyone. I hope you had a great weekend and got to play some games. I played some Helldivers 2, Peak, and some Overwatch 2. I did get to play some MTG as well. Most of my Saturday was filled with some overtime work, and after that I spent time eating some homemade pizzas. I gotta say that the Ooni company makes a neat pizza oven; it’s way better than an oven.

I played some Borderlands (the first one) and Borderlands 3, with a side of Cat Quest 2.
What things did you do over the weekend?
Laundry, cleaning, changed my studio monitors for a set of Yamaha HS7 which blew my budget for the next month, and injured my left shoulder to the point where I could barely move my arm anymore. It’s better this morning, but my range of painless movement is still limited. Aleve helps, but not much…

Forgot to post a picture of the speakers. Here they are, absolute units compared to the Presonus Eris 4.5 I had previously. They are about 3 times as big, and 5 times as loud.

The pizza oven can get to high temperatures. This cooks everything faster, so long as you are making a thin crust or NYC style pizza.

Went lake swimming, made some delicious food, had a great weekend.

What games did you play over the weekend?
The Facts of Oreo.
I. did. it. It took all weekend. I had to tweak and re-tweak then re-tweak again. I had to make multiple trips back to Nauvis. But I finally -FINALLY- finished building my agricultural science pack production base on Gleba. It’s not a perfect system like I envisioned, but it works. AND I’ve already researched most of the technology that requires agri-science. Most notably - I HAVE THE SPIDERTRON AGAIN. Man I missed that thing. Now I can get places faster. I can explore further out. No more getting run over by a train. It’s glorious!
What things did you do over the weekend?
I was forced to leave the house on Sunday for a few hours to go to the mall, but otherwise it was nonstop Factorio!

What games did you play over the weekend?
I played some of The Division 2 with my buddy so that was a good time. I also played quite a bit of LA Noire which was a nice change of pace!
What things did you do over the weekend?
Did some chores, played some games, had family pictures with my wife’s family on Sunday. That’s really kind of it. It was a good weekend.

Heck yeah! Although I have an electric glass top stove and feel that a cast iron would break on it.

OSRS Ironman, casual but enjoying it. Game is overun with bots these days, what game isn’t? I was surprised to see that some people bot their Ironman which really doesn’t make sense to me.
What things did you do over the weekend?
Rainy weekend and smoke in the air made it extra grey out, so I read a ton. Currently reading “The Cuckoo’s Egg: Tracking a Spy Through the Maze of Computer Espionage” by Clifford Stoll - true story!

Nay, but maybe I’m not a good enough cook to answer this one. Always ruin them and seems like a ton of work to season them all the time.

What games did you play over the weekend? Tiny Tina’s
What things did you do over the weekend? We actually did ‘take the wknd off’ and did pretty much nothing but game tiny tina’s. Was a nice break from sweating all wknd. It rained, of course, so it’s not like we were missing much or had no excuse to slack off.
Is painting by numbers still painting? Yes, but more ‘house painting’ than ‘portrait painting’.
Cast iron pans, yea or nay? Big yea. Although the new-gen high-temp stick proof stuff is so badass it is increasingly difficult to make the need case for cast iron any more, aside from open fire camping use.

Played a little WoW Classic and managed to get Fookiyeu to 85 before MoP Classic releases today.
What things did you do over the weekend?
Back half was recovering from the front half activity - captaining an aid station for a night time trail race called Full Moon. Nothing more fun than spending 12 hours in the heat…at night…in the South. I was awake from 1pm Saturday until 5am Sunday morning. I’m too old for this.

My wife (an art and graphic design teacher) would say so and well, I won’t argue with her even if she’s at work…she can still hear me if I disagree!

Hell yes - somethings just taste better if cooked in them.

I cut down on Dune Awakening to the minimum.
Lost a copter as a solo - due to a bugged transition between zones, that and the amount of time I invested in Solo - getting matts that day. Game atm isn’t pleasing pvp’rs and those of us doing mostly pve aren’t happy either - and atm both groups at eachother blaming the others for it.
In reality the games pve mechanics end as soon as you reach the deep desert when they suddently expect you to be pvping for contested resources. There is pve areas which they made bigger, but then also nerfed spawning of resources in them so pretty difficult to get any. Pvp’rs complain the pvp is just copter missile fights - yeah it sort of is.
Solo’s like complain as half the pve resources are sat in control zones in the pve area - and these are pvp enabled- so to get pve resouces you need to try not to die to big guilds with copters armed with missiles - which you can’t get as you need ‘spice’ for them and you ain’t getting spice solo, you’ll struggle as a small group.
So game for me has reached the logical conclusion of where i can go now. I’m just going to log in at intervals to keep my base alive (at least every 2 weeks at least to refuel the power and pay the ‘taxes’ until changes are made or i take the option to quit for good. Its a shame as I really enjoyed it up to this point.

Tried to get a bit of proper rest - my best buddy and his wife few in for a week long visit and had only left last Thursday. Was nonstop tourist guide for the whole week and was super drained from it. Had some darn good chicken wonton soup on Saturday night.

Definitely nothing wrong with it though, definitely lets you turn your brain off for a bit!

Big yes! I am lucky to still have my grandma’s primary cast iron pan - it always makes the best red eye gravy, because of science.

I put a lot of time into The Alters over the weekend and am quite enjoying it. I’m currently at the very end of act II where it’s got me stuck on having to make a difficult decision, haven’t really decided what I’ll do yet.
I also fired up Judgment and found out it runs FANTASTICALLY on the Steam Deck. I only played about an hour or so but I’m stoked to dive into it on the handheld, the amount of minigames and stuff just makes it seem tailor made for playing on a Steam Deck.
What things did you do over the weekend?
I finished prepping the house for the contractor to start working on painting, fixing my front porch, and replacing the roof. That entailed pulling a bush out from the front of the house and clearing off the front porch completely. I also started rotting out some stumps that were left over from the tree removal I did last year. They’re just arbor vitae & one larger bush stump so I’m hoping between the stump killer and covering them with a tarp I can have them rotted enough by October that I can take an axe or sledgehammer and just break them up to let them decompose so we can plant new stuff in their place next Spring/Summer.
Yesterday I spent most of the day at my dad’s visiting with family since my aunt was in town from San Diego. I also watched the 4k’s for both Dark City and Kingdom of Heaven over the weekend - they looked absolutely fantastic on the new TV (but man I forgot just how long the directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven was, I had to split it up into two viewing sessions lol).

I played some Destiny 2. They feel like they are trying to revamp the game and bring it back to relevance. I am willing to give it a shot. It does look like they are finally giving it the attention that it needed over the last couple years. It was starting to get jumbled and bloated. This feel more of a refinement than anything which is welcomed. I haven’t played it is quite some time because of how it was going.

I played a new game called “Replace the garbage disposal”.
The entry fee is a little steep and the game play can be very challenging with plenty of side-quests to gather your weapons. Once you get to the Boss Level you better have your act together or the fan base will turn on you.
