If someone posts a link in a discussion thread and you click it, it opens up a new tab.

For example, click this www.microsoft.com/

On Spiceworks, when you click on an external link it opens in a new tab. It’s nice to see it here as well.

It’s probably not going to help my tab count…

It’s also down to how you have your browser set as to how pages are handled.

It started out that only some links would do that. Then, everything started doing it. It is very welcomed. No longer have to right-click and select open in new tab!
