I’ve been on the “do we go cloud” kick for a bit and it would seem I’ve just about talked myself out of the idea for a raft of reasons. Mainly having to do with a lot of legacy app deployment needs that just are not quite ready for “cloud.”
So what about IaaS, or simply good old fashioned co-location with management built in?
I’ve known some that have gone IaaS or managed hosting for reasons having mainly due to being unable to replicate the power and site security.
What has been your reasons to go towards a managed host instead of deploying on premise servers?
Has it delivered on some management overhead savings?
