During our spring cleaning, we came across 11 newly released 1U rack PDUs. We’d love to get these in your hands and hear what you think of them. Please tell us in ten words or less why you think you deserve one. We’ll choose 11 winners on Tuesday, May 3.

Our award panel—consisting of Devil Duck, chattering teeth and Mr. Bacon—will review each submission and choose the ones that are the funniest, most clever or even the most desperate. Please specify in your response which model fits your environment (not part of your ten words). After each winner has had some time to check out the PDU, we’d appreciate it if you would write a review on Spiceworks . Contest is limited to SpiceHeads in the US. Good luck!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Each of the units requires a 20A or 30A wall socket to plug it in. So, if you’ve just got regular 5-15R wall outlets, you can still win but you’ll likely need an electrician to install the correct outlet. Links to the specs for each unit listed below.

NEED ORGANIZATION, PLEASE?! The EMIT01-10 would work nicely.

Because I do. Great power, Eaton has.

EMIT03-10, preferrable, but I have a location that can use the EMIT02-10.

One unit is full, of dust, please pick me. Please?

I totally want one of these to replace the plain power strip I have plugged in to my 5px (the small draw/brick items plug in there, like the UBNT-AP). Sadly, I don’t think it’d be compatible.

Please don’t forget to indicated which model you’d like to win. A bit more on connections…

Because who does not want an Eaton??? Like seriously???

(EMIT02-10)

The need is great, the budget is small.

Prefer the EMIT02-10 but grateful for any.

I would like to please my wife by removing the multiple power cables from underneath our closet door that run to my servers. If it makes her happy, then it makes me happy

If you find any 15amp models, I’d be happy to enter that contest

“Remote rack needs same love as my Eaton server room.”

The EMIT01-10 would be great.

10 words: “Most of our school’s UPSes are refurbished 10 year+ units.”

(Our environment supports the EMIT01-10)

Thank you for the contest and supporting the Spiceworks community.

Because my server room needs less cord spaghetti.

I will take my EMIT01-10 now, thanks!

I deserve one of these rack PDUs because we’re building a new police dispatch center. And it’s going to have rack PDUs. And I want them all to match. So, if I have one from Eaton…

There is no power organisation in the office. Please help!

EMIT01-10 or EMIT02-10 would help

Edit: This is why I need help (UPS, power conditioner, and power strip). Power ALL the devices! Without starting a fire…

Please give us a reason to not use APC everything.

My 10 words:

Eaton UPSs are great - Adding power tracking PDU even better

PDU I would choose:

A EMIT01-10 would be really nice way to track the power usage (I would like one of the bigger units but I don’t have a L5 plugable UPS)
