Hi,

We have about 60 computers and I’ve got about 4 or 5 of them that have
Scan errors.

The Windows ones … are failing with:-

Authentication failed for user ‘’

That actually looks like it’s not even sending a username. When I try to
do a manual test it fails as well.

So,

  1. I checked permissions and that’s all fine. I can RDP, I can access
    admin shares and I can do everything an Admin can do. I’m also logged in
    as the Enterprise Admin.

  2. We don’t have the XP SP2 firewall running. I have them all disabled
    by a Group Policy. I double checked and these machines are accessible.

  3. I then run the WMIDiag.vbs on the machines in question and they all
    report that WMI is working fine.

Any ideas ?
