We recently deployed new systems in remote locations, all of the systems were cloned, then had the name and IP address changed, then joined to the domain- so they should be the same. In one office with 10 new PC about half show correctly in inventory and half show in unknowns. Separate office with about 10 new PC same results.

Since some of the 10 new PC show I figure this isn’t a firewall issue at the branch level and the PC firewall is turned off. I try testing using the wmic command line as recommended by Spice nothing is returned.

Any other ideas?

Have you verified the “authentication issue”?

are you running XP vista or 7? also have you run through the stuff on this page?
