Help Desk tech today, then VACATION:-)

Cool Beans… How many days you off?

Yup, that’s me. Working the AM shift for helpdesk. I have tomorrow off, though.

At least you will get one day off this weekend.

Yeah. It does feel good after an 80+ hour week! lol

Yuuuuup.

Welcome to the Club WME

I’m working to pay in advance 4 days we’ll receive in December. So we all (the entire company) will work 4 Saturdays before December 20th, when will be out on vacations until January 6th.

Work four Saturdays and get 2 weeks of vacation? Was too much of a deal to miss it, almost all agreed.

Anyway, there where a few that didn’t stroke the deal and instead the 4 days will be discounted from their personal vacations.

Sounds like a deal to me

Working the on-call phone today and tomorrow and backing up the Help Desk guy. Since he is out I will get all the “critical” calls that come in. Should be quiet except for the users who can’t tell the difference between critical and non-critical outages.

Yup, I work every weekend.

On call, and a 4 hour shift in the office.

Built some new dfs shares for our file server move, tested some features, couple updates on the lesser used servers.

Found out our help desk portal was broken, found a workaround and tested a VM level restore process.

Sent some managers some “We’re moving your file shares, how do you want them laid out?” Emails.

Sitting in a walk in clinic now, trying to get drugs. Stupid bronchitis.

As usual, I’m working on backups… on the damn weekend… and can’t get a hold of management.
