anyone using the new monitoring tool? I’m testing it but curious what is the best method for setup for multiple customers. I need to be notified for example if the server goes down so obviously it doesn’t make sense for me to install it on their local server. Also can you have it do a network scan or have it talk to spice works? I think this is a great start since we were looking at monitoring software like labtech

If I recall correctly, you have to add the servers and network devices individually when using the network monitor. The only way you can really have it talk to Spiceworks would be to have it send the e-mail alerts to your help desk e-mail address.

If you just wanted to monitor a few critical servers for clients, you could use the Spiceworks Agent on those servers and have them report back to your central server. Just change the check in frequency for each to a very small value and setup a monitor in your Spiceworks installation that will alert you as needed.
