The Spam-whitelist page is used in conjunction with the Mediawiki SpamBlacklist extension, and lists strings of text that override Meta's blacklist and the local spam-blacklist. Any administrator can edit the spam whitelist. Please post comments to the appropriate section below: Proposed additions (web pages to unblock), Proposed removals (sites to reblock), or Troubleshooting and problems; read the messageboxes at the top of each section for an explanation. See also MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Please enter your requests at the bottom of the Proposed additions to Whitelist section and not at the very bottom of the page. Sign your requests with four tildes: ~~~~

Also in your request, please include the following:

    1. The link that you want whitelisted in the section title, like === example.com/help/index.php === .
    2. The Wikipedia page on which you want to use the link
    3. An explanation why it would be useful to the encyclopedia article proper
    4. If the site you're requesting is listed at /Common requests, please include confirmation that you have read the reason why requests regarding the site are commonly denied and that you still desire to proceed with your request

Important: You must provide a full link to the specific web page you want to be whitelisted (leave out the http:// from the front; otherwise you will not be able to save your edit to this page). Requests quoting only a domain (i.e. ending in .com or similar with nothing after the / character) are likely to be denied. If you wish to have a site fully unblocked please visit the relevant section of MediaWiki talk:Spam-blacklist.

Note: Do not request links to be whitelisted where you can reasonably suspect that the material you want to link to is in violation of copyright (see WP:LINKVIO). Such requests will likely be summarily rejected.

There is no automated notification system in place for the results of requests, and you will not be notified when your request has a response. You should therefore add this page to your personal watch list, to your notifications through the subscribe feature, or check back here every few days to see if there is any progress on it; in particular, you should check whether administrators have raised any additional queries or expressed any concerns about the request, as failure to reply to these promptly will generally result in the request being denied.

    Completed requests are archived, additions and removal are logged. →snippet for logging: {{/request|1294000366#section_name}}

Note that requests from new or unregistered users are not usually considered.

Admins: Use seth's tool to search the spamlists.

    Proposed additions

    [edit]

If you have a source that you would like to add to the spam-whitelist, but you are uncertain that it meets Wikipedia's guideline on reliability, please ask for opinions on the Reliable sources noticeboard, to confirm that it does meet that guideline, before submitting your whitelisting request here. In your request, link to the confirming discussion on that noticeboard.

Likewise, if you have an external link that you are uncertain meets Wikipedia's guideline on external links, please get confirmation on the External links noticeboard before submitting your whitelisting request here.

If your whitelist request falls under one of these two categories, the admins will be more willing to have the source whitelisted if you can achieve consensus at one of the above noticeboards.

    Golden MV

    [edit]

The website is the official page of a Philippine Stock Exchange listed company. It is appropriate to have the URL mentioned in the infobox and "External links" section as per WP:ELOFFICIALHariboneagle927 (talk) 14:57, 21 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Hariboneagle927: Part of Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Spam/2021_Archive_Mar_12#Camella_Manors_Spam_Websites and Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Spam/2021_Archive_Mar_12#More_Camella_Manors_links. I am not going to whitelist the whole domain (which anyway would needed to be handled as a de-listing).
Per MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist/Common_requests#The_official_homepage_of_the_subject_of_a_page, we would need an about-page or a full url (including an index.htm) of the index page. Can you please provide a suitable link? --Dirk Beetstra T C 06:41, 22 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to request that this specific page be whitelisted for Whitefield College of the Bible as it is the only source I can find with an actual video of the College's opening ceremony and will be used to cite the formal opening section. organiser.org

    [edit]

organiser.org only provides the below information & no other site does... RSS Training Camps Undergo Structural Changes in 2024 The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has announced significant changes to the structure of its training camps starting this year. The new format includes several types of camps with varying durations:

    Initial Camp: 3 days

    Primary Education Camp: 7 days

Sangh Shiksha Varg (Basic Training Camp): 15 days

Worker Development Camp-1 (formerly known as Second Year Training Camp): 20 days

Worker Development Camp-2 (previously referred to as Third Year Training Camp): 25 days

cc QEDK who added this website to the blacklist in 2020. The only logged reason is "privacy concerns" - care to elaborate (or handle this request yourself?) * Pppery * it has begun... 02:47, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Noting for the record that I did receive an email from QEDK explaining the reasoning for the blacklisting. And I've come to the conclusion that I'm not familiar enough with this area to make a decision on the request - hopefully someone else watching this page will. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:12, 29 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I would be leaning a hard decline for the most part. I don't think the information provided here is compelling/important enough to warrant whitelisting this website. filesusr.com

    [edit]

The N.F.-Board uses it for every PDF they have, as their new site is on Wix. And in a case like this, it seems that using sources like these is very appropriate.

    • Link requested to be whitelisted: 131c8a2b-b90c-d7bf-83d1-9769982e3b82.filesusr.com/ugd/f867c1_7895967742644702aa66d61dfdcac63b.pdf

These links are the announcements of the return of the N.F.-Board, the events they'll be hosting (being the EUROVIVA and Women's Viva), and the NFB-EUROPE's establishment.

    sci-net.xyz

    [edit]

Scientific paper piracy site Sci-Hub has launched a new sister site called Sci-Net. I've added a section and infobox for Sci-Net to the Sci-Hub article. However, the URL to Sci-Net cannot be included in the Sci-Net infobox right now due to Wikipedia's blacklist.

    AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 06:55, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@AlyInWikiWonderland: per MediaWiki talk:Spam-whitelist/Common_requests#The_official_homepage_of_the_subject_of_a_page, we would need an about-page or a full url (including an index.htm) of the index page. Can you please provide a suitable link? Also, I expect that you need 'sci-hub.ru/sci-net' and 'sci-hub.se/sci-net' as references for the documentation (otherwise please take them out of the WLRequestLink template). --Dirk Beetstra T C 11:29, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm, I don't think there is an about page besides that main page right now. The site's functionality on that main page is locked behind registration/login though. I'm not sure about the full URL of the index page part—there is no public "index.htm" or equivalent as far as I know. Considering the page you linked, I'm not sure now that this request can be fulfilled at present.
Have removed the 'sci-hub.ru/sci-net' and 'sci-hub.se/sci-net' links (just added for extra info and presumably not reliable sources for citing).
    Thank you. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 12:14, 6 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    Archived version of Metrocosm.com

    [edit]

The Wayback archived version of this page includes data obtained from the New York City government about filming locations and dates for several movies. I had wanted to add it as a reference to the page of Now You See Me (film), but could be relevant to several films, so could be helpful to at least whitelist the Wayback archived version if possible. https://blogs.library.american.edu/mediaservices/2015/07/08/filming-permit-map-reveals-nycs-hotspots-in-film/ The page was a self-published website published by data journalist (at the time) who is also referenced elsewhere. https://www.weforum.org/stories/authors/max-galka/ https://www.poynter.org/tech-tools/2016/what-should-you-foia-this-guy-made-a-tool-to-help-you-figure-that-out/ https://www.niemanlab.org/2016/03/foia-mapper-aims-to-make-it-easier-for-journalists-to-know-where-to-look-for-public-documents/newsjunkie (talk) 10:40, 11 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    Archived version of About.com

    [edit]

I am editing the Colton Ford article after his passing on the 19th. His 2008 interview with About.com was one of his longest, and he went into details about his early life. For a former porn star, I rarely find comprehensive interviews like this. While About.com is still ambivalent in terms of reliability, I believe this interview is a useful addition to Ford's biography. Damian Vo (talk) 14:28, 23 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

    kickstarter update for the jabbermask

the jabbermask was cancelled by its creator in 2021 after a successful 2020 kickstarter campaign. the wiki page doesnt mention this, and the cancellation was announced on the campaign's updates page.

    Archived version of opposingviews.com

    [edit]

I am editing the Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows article to add an archived version of one of the references on Critical Reception. The original site has since been taken offline (entirely, redirects to example.com), thus the archived version is the remaining reference here; to be used in conjunction with |url-status=unfit.
