I was born and raised in the Kingston area, and quickly fell in love with journalism during a high school co-op placement at a community newspaper.\r\n\r\n
After graduating from Loyalist College's photojournalism program, I landed my dream job working on the news desk of my hometown newspaper, The Whig-Standard, the oldest and one of the most storied papers in the country.\r\n\r\n
In the decades since, I've contributed as a copy editor, news and features editor, sports editor, multimedia journalist, columnist and now, editor-in-chief.\r\n\r\n I'm a Quickwire award winner and most known outside of Kingston as a national columnist who covers the world of professional wrestling.\r\n\r\n I'm a dad to two girls, a husband, diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and truly a lover of words.\r\n\r\n Why I love journalism: There simply is no more powerful a tool than the written word. Journalism holds the world accountable to itself.\r\n\r\n Please send story ideas to [email protected]\r\n\r\n\r\n
