The right to the house depends on who the beneficiary is of your step-father's estate. If your step father had a will or trust, then that will control. Otherwise, the laws of intestate succession will determine who the heir of the estate is. Unfortunately, it usually does not include step children, unless you were adopted or for some reason you couldn't be adopted.

You should first determine who the beneficiary of your step-father's estate would be. If you were not adopted by him, then you would only be a beneficiary under certain circumstances. Contact a local attorney for a full consultation.

Hello. Unless you are charged with a crime on the same complaint, you are not a co-defendant. Check the complaint filed against the arrested girl, your name should not be there. As far as the police report, there must be a police report to prosecute her for a DUI or you for possession. The police report must include how the drugs were recovered and what amount and how it was determined that it was an illegal drug. Stay away from her unless it is in a court order. She obviously caused a problem that you just got out of so why would you walk back into the same trouble. She could call the police and this time someone will be arrested and the judge will not be happy with anybody and then you will see what real trouble is.

It sounds like you settled the civil case already with the insurance company, so almost always no. If you are talking about a criminal case, potentially if no one was already in jeopardy.
