That's all from us after a thoroughly enjoyable two weeks of action at the French Open.

Coco Gauff beat Aryna Sabalenka to claim the women's singles title on Saturday and in a men's final for the ages, Carlos Alcaraz came from two sets down to beat Jannik Sinner.

Although we didn't get any British success in the singles, there was something to celebrate in the men's wheelchair doubles with Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid clinching a sixth successive title at the French Open.

And if today's final has whet your appetite then do not fear... the grass-court swing is under way and Wimbledon is just around the corner.

Only Carlos Alcaraz knows how he pulled that off.

How sweet that winning moment felt.

    Fair play.

I do wonder how many of 1,502 that voted for Carlos Alcaraz to win were still as confident when he had to stave off three Championship points in the fourth set.

Jannik Sinner has been absolutely brilliant since his return.

He was one point away from winning this title but Carlos Alcaraz held his nerve on those match points. Sinner will be really regretting that second serve backhand on 15-40 at 5-3 up. He usually makes that shot every time.

This rivalry is just going to go on and on. Sinner is better on the hard courts than Alcaraz at the moment, but Alcaraz leads on the clay and on grass.

This rivalry will push both players to try to win all four majors and try to reach double digits for Grand Slam titles.

Only Bjorn Borg (six) has won more men’s singles Grand Slam titles than Carlos Alcaraz (five - level with Rod Laver and John McEnroe) after his first 17 appearances in such events in the Open Era.

It was reported that the Spain players watched Carlos Alcaraz's fightback before beginning their Nations League final against Portugal.

It was a final that transcended tennis, that's for sure. A certified all-timer, and what a joy to witness it.

It's approaching half-time in that game with the score 1-1. I wonder if they know that Alcaraz completed the job yet?

You could excuse Jannik Sinner, who has had to watch his rival lift the title and then fake a smile as they pose for photos, if he raced off the court as quickly as possible.

But he's very graciously sticking around to sign autographs.

"It is easier to play than to talk right now. Thank you so much to my team for helping me put myself in this position. We tried our best today. We gave everything we had. Some time ago, we would have loved to be here so it's still been an amazing tournament.

I just feel so lucky that I got to be here to witness this final.

It feels like this is absolutely going to be a historic moment of our sport.

There are so many professional athletes in the stands today that are just in awe of these two guys. The physicality and the mentality just encompasses everything tennis is about.

I don't think there has ever been a better showcase for our sport.
