Keith Watson Daily Telegraph (UK) There’s the bones of a fine series here and dedicated dino-heads will revel in the strikingly-created creatures. But leave the twist and turning cliffhangers to EastEnders and let the science speak for itself. Rated: 2/5 May 29, 2025 Full Review Carol Midgley The Times (UK) There is only one possible animal that could have dropped this, we were told: we were looking at a T. rex turd. If you ask me, these fascinating real-life scenes will inspire young palaeontologists more than the CGI effects. Rated: 3/5 May 28, 2025 Full Review Jack Seale Guardian When the bone-diggers of the future look back, this won’t be the dinosaur documentary they remember most fondly. Rated: 2/5 May 27, 2025 Full Review Gerard Gilbert iNews.co.uk The original series of Walking with Dinosaurs was groundbreaking, but this 2025 rehash is a disappointment. dave S disgustingly anthropomorphic, and rife with unproven assumptions Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/25 Full Review Audience Member Really disappointed with this series. Special effects are a pale imitation of the Apple Prehistoric Planet and the scripting seems more like something I would expect from a Disney children's film. Truly hope that Apple do another series of Prehistoric Planet Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/25 Full Review ben s Doesn't live up to the name of the origional, and I really wasn't a fan of cutting between past and present. If they wanted to show the archeology they should have done what modern BBC documentaries do where the last 15 min show the film crew. A few of the episodes also repeat as there are 2 with a baby ceritopsian and tyrannosaurus feature prominently in most of the episodes. There was also major focus on the the mid to late cretaceous, but it refused to show the major biodiversity of the times, showing the same few animals over and over and showing nothing of thr ocean and very little of non dinosaur or pterosaurs. The only one I truely enjoyed was the spinosaurus one. This is a big shame for me as I really was hoping it would live up to the origional, but it's more like the spiritual successor of planet dinosaur but it traded that documentary's focus on the whole world for more up to date information. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/25 Full Review Matthew S An utter disgrace to the walking with dinosaurs name. Constantly cutting between past and present with very little scientific information passed across to the audience. The writing is clumsy and CGI is frankly terrible. Do yourself a favour and do not watch Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/25/25 Full Review Read all reviews
