Mission and Vision

Complex Exposure Threats Center of Excellence (CETCE)

Mission and Vision

The mission of CETCE is to serve as a national VA center to evaluate, care for and study Veterans with new, complex, and poorly understood military exposures.

CETCE's vision is to focus on unique and emerging complex exposure threats to meet the health needs of Veterans.

CETCE engages Veterans through five lines of effort:

    1. Health Threat Detection: Anticipating novel military exposure threats to prioritize Veteran care.

    2. Health Surveillance: Utilizing health informatives to effectively identify and monitor health outcomes of Veterans within current exposure cohorts.

    3. Specialized Clinical Evaluation: Providing comprehensive and interdisciplinary clinical consultations tailored to Veterans.

    4. Innovative Research: Providing volunteer opportunities for clinical research protocols and collaborative investigations to enhance Veteran care.

    5. Education Services: Conducting outreach and education to Veterans as well as clinicians and researchers to better serve Veterans with complex exposures.
