There’s no telling how long this one might last folks, so if you’re soon-to-be a Switch 2 owner and a Nintendo switch Online member, you might want to go secure the new wireless Nintendo GameCube Controller now that pre-orders are now live directly from Nintendo.
Nintendo Switch 2 GameCube Controller is up for pre-order

There is a very good chance that stock dries up quickly on this one, but it’s hard to say for sure. Historically speaking, when Nintendo released its SNES and NES wireless gamepads they were very hard to get after the first blast of orders went through.

Today is the first chance anyone who wasn’t specifically invited to pre-order a Switch 2 via My Nintendo has had a chance to score one and you almost certainly won’t be able to get one anywhere else.
As a quick reminder, the new Nintendo GameCube Controller was first introduced as part of the Switch 2 Direct last month and is only compatible with Switch 2 consoles. You must also be a Switch Online member to purchase one.
The Nintendo GameCube™ controller has the familiar look and feel of the original, along with modern features like the C-Button, which can open GameChat*, and the Capture Button. The Nintendo GameCube controller is only compatible with the Nintendo Switch™ 2 system.
