We just got an exciting new look at Donkey Kong Bananza and a solid console restock at Best Buy, but if you’re still looking to score yourself a console online it looks like your next chance will be tomorrow evening. Last week Walmart tipped its hat, officially announcing that both the Mario Kart World bundle and base model Switch 2 will be going back in stock on June 25, and we have all of the details for you below.
The next Nintendo Switch 2 console restock
Consider this your early warning to be ready for tomorrow’s restock, but there are a few things you’ll need to know – what time the consoles are expected to go live again and the details on how Walmart’s early access is expected to work.
One thing we want to quickly touch on first though is that the actual official mentions of the restock have since disappeared on both the Switch 2 + Mario Kart World and Switch 2 listing pages. Last week there were official tags posted on both listings specifically mentioning the date, time, and early access details that have seemingly disappeared.
It is unclear if this means anything at all, as the entire internet, 9to5Toys included, assumes we are still on for a restock tomorrow evening. It just seems a bit odd that the official mentions of the early access event have been taken down. We should still be good to go for tomorrow evening, but we just thought we would mention it in case.
That aside, Walmart will almost certainly have Switch consoles in stock tomorrow and here’s the most important things to keep in mind if you’re looking to score one:
- Switch 2 consoles are expected to be available starting at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET
- Both the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle and Nintendo Switch 2 Console are expected to be available
- Walmart+ paid members will have 1 hour early access to the listings
The last pointer above is the real kicker. Clearly Walmart is looking to use this opportunity to drive new Walmart+ sign-ups, or least offer some additional value to existing members, but you’ll have to be a paid member to help guarantee a shot at one here (free trials of Walmart+ will not work from what we know).

Walmart is no slouch – it has thus far had the largest allotment of Switch 2 consoles up for purchase as far as we can tell and there is a good chance this restock will work in waves. While it is possible the Walmart+ members will scoop up all of the available units before anyone else gets a chance at one, it does appear as though Walmart will be saving some for the rest of us as well.
