This particular drive with a $157 price tag has recently been selling for around $143 on Amazon, where it’s currently listed for $130. Today’s deal at Newegg, however, knocks it further down with an additional $15 discount. The Platinum P41 is one of the more popular SK hynix SSDs out there, offering read and write speeds of up to 7,000 MB/s and 6,500 MB/s, respectively – putting it on par with the top Gen4 SSDs on the market. It features SK hynix’s in-house Aries controller and TLD NAND flash, and it’s backed by a 5-year warranty with a rated endurance of up to 1,200TB written or 1.5 million hours MTBF. The Platinum P41 is also compatible with the PS5, though you’ll need a heatsink for optimal results. The model on sale today doesn’t include one, but you can find slim PS5-compatible heatsinks on Amazon for under $10.
