While Aventon’s July 4th Sale has officially ended, we’re still seeing some e-bikes retain their previous annual low prices – including the new Pace 4 Smart Cruiser e-bike. One of the legacy models keeping to its best 2025 pricing is the Level 2 Commuter e-bike down at $1,399 shipped. While it carries an $1,899 MSRP, we’ve mostly seen this model keep between $1,699 and $1,599 over the last year until it fell to $1,499 in March (most likely in response to the release of the new upgraded Level 3 model). It held out at that price until the end of June when we first saw it fall to $1,399, which is only beaten out by a one-day-only fall to $1,299 we spotted at Best Buy over a year ago. While it doesn’t offer the advanced smart features like the new Level 3 model, Aventon’s Level 2 commuter e-bike still offers tried-and-true support for your travels around town as the previous flagship title holder. Sporting a streamlined frame, this e-bike has a 500W rear hub motor (peaking at 750W) paired with a fully integrated 14.0Ah battery, which supports you for up to 60 miles with pedal assistance and its torque sensor. You’ll have a throttle available to cruise off the battery alone, which limits the speed to 20 MPH and reduces your travel range, while utilizing the PAS system allows for it to reach its max 28 MPH speed (within states that allow such).
There’s a reason this legacy model held the mantle of flagship for so long before its newer descendant rolled out of the factory, with features like a front suspension smoothing out your rides and hydraulic brakes guaranteeing your stopping ability. There’s also a rear-mounted cargo rack, hybrid tires with fenders over each, an 8-speed Shimano derailleur, an integrated headlight and taillight combo (with brake lighting), and a backlit LCD display for all your in-ride data and setting adjustments.
