@Mike400 - Just subscribe to this blog. Click the “Subscribe” button on the top right of this page, then you will get a notification every time there is a new blog post

You want to Subscribe to either of these pages (I think doing one Subscribes to both):
That will email you every time Spiceworks is updated and Release Notes are posted for any new version of the Spiceworks Help Desk program.
If you just Subscribe in the top right of “THIS” page, you’ll only be notified when there are additional posts made in this specific Release Notes topic for 7.5.00057 only =)

Hi guys,
we are still on the lates 7.4.
since the updates of 7.5 are comming fast we are a little afraid to update.
is this right or can we just update .
question is is it faster and better .

Im going to wait for it to settle, upgrading takes several hours so can’t do it if they will be released every couple of days.

@DarkSync & TheMeq - Most of the fixes in the past few days have been for inventory related migration problems. We think we got the rest of them fixed, and it should be solid now. We are planning another patch before we leave for the holidays, but it will be mostly additional features, security fixes, and various non-blocking bugs

Probably a dumb question but am I the only one having inventory scanning issues since the latest 7.5 builds? Desktop PC’s getting recatagorized as laptops, NAS’s getting turned to desktops and laptops, my WAP’s getting recategorized as servers, my router as a switch, etc.
I’m already working on a support ticket and I think they already have a handle on why this is happening, I’m just surprised that it hasn’t affected a lot more people?

This was added in 7.5. There seems to be a bug with the search in the current version of the app if you have 55+ reports, but it will be fixed in our December patch. The current workaround for that issue is to temporarily disable your internet connection before loading the reports page and performing a search, I know it sounds weird but trust me it works, you can reenable the connection after you’ve located your report.

Hi Morten,
That was a bug fixed in 7.5.00055, once you upgrade from 7.5.00053, you won’t see that strange version any more. FYI - its a string of the “current available version” and your “current installed version” rolled into one

Since we updated to this version th program somtims just stops
