Today in History: 2006 - US House of Representatives Vote down Net Neutrality Amendment

The amendment would have formalized Net neutrality policies, a move lobbied for and favored by a number of Silicon Valley tech companies. The vote was split closely down partisan lines, with most dissenting votes coming from the Republican side of the House, while the majority of Democrats were in favor of it. Net neutrality, which calls for an open Internet with no favoritism granted towards certain users, providers, or types of streaming services and data, has been an ongoing debate, especially in the US.

On the Menu Today – Parmesan Spring Chicken

Happy Monday everyone! Been a busy weekend for me as I’ve been working with server patching stuff and swapping out a failed switch. Busy times. Roll on Friday is all I can say, I need a day off. I also came across a Twitter account last week called " The State of LinkedIn ". As we all know, LinkedIn is a breeding ground for lies and some serious brown-nosing and this Twitter account comically highlights what some of the stupid people on LinkedIn get up to… I lost about an hour going through it the other day, some highly amusing posts. Thought I’d share with you guys if you fancy a break from all the doom and gloom that 2020 has thrown at us so far.

Now, food time! I came across this delicious recipe on Saturday. Made it for a quick evening meal and it was really tasty. Literally takes about 20 minutes to make and is light and healthy for those who enjoy such things.

Comic of the Day:

Mouseover: Hourly haircuts would be annoying, but they’d be easier to do yourself, since you’d have adjacent hairs as a guide. Growing it out would be a huge pain, though.

Trivia: A hand saw is the perfect tool for cutting kraft-paper-backed fiberglass batting to length.

Use a circular saw to cut a notch in a scrap piece of planking about two feet long.

Put batting over plank.

Hand saw to length.

Do pizza cutters only work on round pizzas, hence the need for the handsaw?

A shirt is optional though.

I remember getting a lot of flak in college for cutting pizza with a kitchen knife, I think the saw takes the pie.

Edit: Flack is spelled flak.

I have a friend that always cuts his pizza with scissors. I still judge him. I think the Hand Saw makes more sense. Even thought a saws all would be faster.

I see nothing out of the ordinary in that Pizza cutting picture. So, what is all the buzz???

Aaaaahhh the comic of the day. I don’t know how many conversations I’ve been in that started out with theories or serious discussions and ended similar to that. haha just make me laugh.

I know right? Could have saved myself a whole 20 minutes of writing the rest of the Spark if the comments are anything to go by  Just whack up the Inspirobert and be done with it lol.

No shirt, no shoes, no… ahh never mind.

Edited by myself as I could think of no way to remove possible offense from it.

The saw is fine. The cut will be a bit rough, but who can’t control cut depth?

Ah, that pizza must have come from my high school cafeteria. No joking. There was a food fight and a pizza hit the wall…and chipped the brick. Lethal to eat and throw.

It really makes a difference whether that is a framing blade or a finish blade. In general, the rule of thumb is only use framing blades if there are anchovies on the pizza, though some people make the same claim about pineapple.

There are too many complaints about adaptive ingenuity! If the correct tool is unavailable, improvise, adapt, and overcome!
