Several times over the past few days, I have been getting certificate errors from one of the Spiceworks ad services. Here is a screen shot.

Hi,

Is this only happening in Safari? Do other browsers show the same message?

I will try to test that. I typically only use Safari. It also doesn’t happen with every page view.

It is not currently happening in Chrome or Safari. It might be related to individual ads that are being served. The ads earlier were for Server Direct.

Let me check with the ads folks here. See if they have any ideas. Let me know if you see this with any other ads.

It is happening again today. This time I was able to get some information out of Chrome. The particular ad that is failing is https://ad.atdmt.com/d/a.html;p=11087208563486;cod=1;idfa=;idfa_lat=;aaid=;aaid_lat=;cache=659507606?click=https://adclick.g.doubleclick.net/pcs/click%253Fxai%253DAKAOjstRAxTYtGmGfJgVmOI9i_WNovXijJ60ysLVVK5MWBFBZkqnronBqyVbfW6NpIrCzFqIc5tVtHufAfGyMSyQDNXJrYyS2tw_Xl_UzhQtWNZOiqRn68R1Aglsw2k2lxDF9yShL5i-zvSxg-5XO15cZ_5V2RLIxtvjnv3QgCVX_uH23RLszqBS0XKoXpdJNghV3UEOfL5-z9tpCTQdBnZ89tjvUledRidA9Sq1oBT3-Yq-U2aibCc%2526sig%253DCg0ArKJSzLF7aUxTCJqQEAE%2526urlfix%253D1%2526adurl%253D

Safari shows a certificate warning but Chrome shows a broken link in the Ad area on the page with no certificate error.

So, am I just going to be left to deal with certificate errors when I am trying to use SpiceWorks? What about this new issue? It seems that there might need to be some more oversight in the Ad department.
