The documentation of Spiceworks Inventory Online promises to add SNMP for scanning devices in the network. It does not specify, if this will become an own agent or added to already existing scanning or collection agent. I prefer such a feature with the scanning agent. Otherwise a separate SNMP scanning agent might get added. I’m wondering, why no feature request was created before although the documentation made this promise probably for already two years now. (And the discontinued legacy Windows edition Spiceworks Inventory supported such a feature already too.)

SNMP allows to discover much more details than those currently available with the scanning agent.

Im a bit disapointed… The software upgrade becomes a uitlity downgrade…

This SNMP scanning util is just GREAT !!!
