Hello music fans,
I’m enjoying streaming in the office. I brought my Tivoli radio in from home after Alexa took over. What do you use in the office? The Tivoli seems to play in Mono. So, if you stream with something other than your computer or your phone - what do you use?
I’m a huge fan of college radio (we still have a lot of cool stations here in Boston area.) But reception is iffy in the office

Used to be a big iTunes radio fan - could find some college stations from all over. somaFM-Indie Pop Rocks and 3WK underground radio are still excellent, too. BigUp Radio from Jamaica was a favorite.
Nowadays I’m in a tightly-controlled government environment, so it’s mainly my own local library of good-old-MP3s on an ancient iPod Shuffle. No, really.
Also, GET OFF MY LAWN.

I didn’t realize that anyone still used anything other than their phone or computer to stream music…

I use Pandora along with an adblocker on my PC.

That’s only an AM radio. What do you listen to in the PM?
OK, it’s a really old joke. But it’s been decades since I’ve hat the opportunity to use it.

Well, like I said Alexa at home. But, yeah. Rather not be streaming from a device I have to get working for someone somewhere…

Will give BigUp a try if its still out there. I used to like BirdSong radio on iTunes. But iTunes has become a hot mess. (and now headed for three hot messes…)
TuneInRadio or iHeartRadio work OK mostly.

I just use my phone and a really nice set of headphones, and play what’s in my library. Once my own library gets stale, I have a podcast on Youtube I listen to… also through headphones.
Then again, if I played something on a radio or speakers in my office, all the offices around me would hear it. I don’t like hearing other people’s music so I do them the courtesy of not forcing them to listen to mine.

Yea, I had headphones in the cubical days. That was sad. Not really needed now I have a wall, except when my assistant gets tired of my choices.

I use Spotify. If you get a free trial just make a massive playlist and once that runs out it makes you do shuffle. The genre playlist are great too.

We usually listen to radioparadise.com or a custom playlist on Google Play
