Hello all,
My company currently has two offices that house 150 people and the other around 50. We also have 12 branch offices that hold no more than 10 users. We are 100 % Cisco ASA 5505’s and 5510’s. We are looking to upgrade out firewalls . I am very comfortable with ASA’s but from everything im reading the new ASA’s with firepower are not good at all.
So what ya’ll using these days for small business firewalls? We are looking following services.
Geolocation, IDS/IPS, Anti-Maleware, Web Filtering , Web Application Firewall, Threat Intelligence , Central Management , DPI, Logging , Reports

My personal favourite are Fortigate devices from Fortinet. They have lots of options to fit all budgets and sizing requirements. You will get lots of opinions from other people regarding their brands of choice. There’s no real right answer here. A lot of our opinions are just based on what we know and have the most experience with.

I’m using Watchguard for my larger clients and am fairly happy with it. I’ve used Sonicwall and Sophos previously.
What tipped the scales in favor of Watchguard was the monitoring/logging “Dimension” feature included whereas I had to purchase a 3rd party utility (for Sophos) or pay extra or the optional monitoring feature (Sonicwall). That said, the Dimension app needs some work. (hint, hint Watchguard)
Another reason was their competitive upgrade offer which pretty much gave you the unit if you purchased a 3 year subscription up front. Don’t know if they still off that.
Thanks for the WatchGuard mention, @da-schmoo !
To the OP - we do have a lot of options on the WatchGuard side, both rackmount and tabletop appliances . Our Firebox M370 supports a recommended user count of 150 users and the tabletop Firebox appliances can support up to a recommended user count of 60 through the T70. Additionally, we have an appliance sizing tool which allows you to input the specs you’re looking for and we will give you a couple of recommendations: WatchGuard Appliance Sizing Tool | WatchGuard Technologies
The services you’re looking for will be included in the security subscription that you purchase along with the device, and we offer either the Basic Security Suite or the Total Security Suite: Network Security Services | WatchGuard Technologies
And lastly, if you are looking to upgrade, we have a program called Red Instead you might be interested in. With the Red Instead program, you can trade in any manufacturer’s security product and receive a Firebox. Plus, you just pay for the security services, so it’s like getting the box for free: Red Instead: Trade In for Better Security | WatchGuard Technologies
If you have any questions about WatchGuard devices, feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help!
