Looking for a solid Firewall with IPS/IDS and will support 50-100 users. Most at HQ but some remote so VPN access is a +.

I have a few in mind and quoted currently but would like to see what else is offered out there and recommended for us.

Thats a bit generic, pretty much any UTM is ‘solid’ and will have an SSL VPN client and so site to site IPSec

I wouldnt be choosing a piece of infrastructure based on that wish list

All the usual suspects, Sophos, Fortinet, Meraki, Watchguard etc will all meet your needs but its like going to buy a car and asking for one thats reliable and has space for 4 people. You arent narrowing it down much…

Example - you could say that Sophos beats Fortinet on having a better integrated endpoint solution but Fortinet makes 2FA VPN a 2 click process but charges a lot more for tokens than anyone else etc etc. The list goes on

StormShield appliance does the job and price is acceptable for security it gives.

Love my Sonicwalls. I have about a dozen, support is amazing, upgrades are super easy, rock solid. I’ll never change.

We can do all that stuff. Maybe with our Free Package, even. Hit me up w/any questions.

I’ve been pleased with my Watchguard experiences, having used them since the original firebox, as well as smaller units like the xtm/23/25/36/33 and the newer larger mxxx series.

I have been summoned! Thanks, Patrick!

Hi Jay! If I may, please check out what WatchGuard has to offer in terms of Firewall appliances. You can request a free evaluation of our appliances here . If you need assistance on determining the best appliance for your environment, you can use our appliance sizing tool to help you! Another plus to utilizing WatchGuard is that we have a specific group for WG here in Spiceworks and quite a few advocates who are awesome in helping troubleshoot any questions you may have. And, of course, I am here to assist as well! On that note, please let me know if you have any questions at any time!

Fortigate or Palo Alto… no other options in my opinion… seen them tried and tested and both brilliant
