I’m stuck. I’m trying to get SpiceWorks setup and failing miserably. I have a couple machines on the Domain that scan fine, no problems. I have a couple that don’t show up at all, and I have a couple that show up with authentication problems.
I am using the domain administrator account to scan with. I can physically log into all the machines with this account and obviously have admin privileges. I can’t understand by this won’t work.
What details do I need to provide so that someone could help me.
The SpiceWorks machine is running Server2003R2, the machines giving me problems are using XP Pro SP3 or Win7 Pro.

Maybe this is also helpful: http://community.spiceworks.com/help/Troubleshooting_WMI and Setting The Default WMI Namespace Security
If this doesn`t help, run this script with admin rights at the affected machines: Resolving Spiceworks Unknowns Unofficial - Script Center …
NOTE: this script will disable UAC at Vista/wWin7.
To keep UAC enabled, delete/comment out lines 36-38 in the script and follow this: Getting Scan to work with Vista (and above) Machines - Spiceworks …
I’ve tried to follow all the instructions to the best of my ability. I’m frustrated and no longer know what to try next. I’m at a loss.

Try deleteing the device, the network scans and accounts and making it all again
