I was on vacation for over two weeks. In the mean time there appears to have been an “incident” in my office… (See attached picture)
Other highlights of the day: an executive trying to email a 120 MB file. But the best thing was finding out that the copier had been jamming for most of my vacation. Why no-one called the number on the front panel to get it serviced is still unclear.

isn’t it nice that they would wait for your return and let you know about these issues?
at least they were thinking of ‘YOU’ and nobody else!

Isn’t it nice to know that there are lazy people employed at your work?
Is it laziness or helplessness? Which one’s worse, anyway?

laziness == why I got into computers
helplessness == users

I think it’s more lazy than anything due to the fact that there is a phone number on the printer and yet they didn’t call in order to get it fixed. Helplessness is something that no one ever is.
Plain and simple, lazy employees, they are everywhere

Join the club bud, got back last week and there was just jobs sat on hold for me to do once I was back in the office. Things either a user could do or a colleague could do. I mean sourcing a wireless access point?! C’mon tae f***! ID10T
Ive just come back from holiday myself… And all the orders I had put into finance have been screwed, Im now playing a wonderful game of what parts am I not getting and what contractors aren’t showing up… Sigh …
So it appears I am not the only one with same problems. Awesome!

At least they didn’t super-glue keys on your keyboard together, fill your office/cubical with packing material, set several unplugged mice on your desk, disable your computer account, or build stone-hinge out of boxes on your desk. See what my coworkers have put up with?
Be grateful they left you alone. The problem is in 2 weeks you’ll need another vacation and they still wouldn’t do anything different in your absence.
Yes, I love not being able to support printers to the “extent” if I know something is broken that I can not troubleshoot and fix, call that red service tag!

Did you have someone at your company, with one very large horse leg, who is now missing?
…You might want to call the police!
